Heathrow - Washington - LAX
8 hours to Washington and this is what the ice floes off the shore of Newfoundland and Labrador look like. I couldn't work them out at first and thought they were waves, then I noticed they weren't moving.
Next, a 5 hour delay, grrr. Announcement from the cabin crew: "If you look out of the window you will see some weather, this is currently delaying our flight". It is dark and grey and pouring with rain and I am glad we are not staying in Washington DC. When our plane finally takes off, we drive through a storm which includes lightning - scary!!!
Another 5 hours and we touch down in LAX, then we pick up a humungous car and drive to the hotel. I now have no idea what time it is and after trying to sleep upright on the plane, my massive bed is the best place in the world.
